Pam Kenney

Worship Leader

Pam was born in Opelika and has lived her entire life in the area, graduating from Opelika High School and later attending Auburn University graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education.  While studying at Auburn University, she made a commitment to full time Christian service during a revival service being held at her home church, Pepperell Baptist.  Shortly after that revival, God opened a door for her to serve as a part time Youth and Music Minister at Union Grove Baptist Church where she served for nine years.  She later served at Concord Baptist in the Smiths Station area for five years as Music Director and then came to Farmville Baptist in September of 1996.

Pam’s teaching career started in 1986 at Opelika Jr. High where she taught 7th and 8th grade choral music. She later taught for 12 years at Trinity Christian School in Opelika where she started the band program and taught choral music for 12 years. She finished her teaching career in the Lee County School system teaching one year at Smiths Station High School as Assistant Choral Director and 14 years at Beauregard High School as the Choral Director. Pam has recently retired and is looking forward to spending time with her grandchildren Caleb, Eli, Rosie, and Julia.

Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
